December 20, 2022 – Entrepreneurs Academy has announced free one-on-one consultations for small business owners in select Chicago zip codes. Since 1996, EA has helped launch 1,000+ businesses, train more than 4,000 entrepreneurs, and create over 8,000 jobs. This new initiative targets business development, branding, 3D printing, and drone photography—specifically empowering Black and Brown entrepreneurs facing systemic barriers.

Since 1996, EA has helped launch over 1,000 businesses, train 4,000+ entrepreneurs, and generate $200M+ in revenue. The consultations cover business development, branding, website design, drone photography, and more—aiming to empower Black and Brown communities through equitable access and expert guidance.
May 1, 2024 – Entrepreneurs Academy (EA) marks its second year of transformative impact through the Fast Launch Educational Entrepreneurship Training (FLEET) program. With 91 students enrolled this spring and alumni like Kelsie Penn and Alvin Hargrove achieving success, EA continues to empower underserved communities. Recent highlights include a $400,000 ICJIA grant renewal, Emmy-nominated alumni, and growing partnerships with 20+ organizations—all supporting EA’s mission to build wealth and wellness for Chicago’s small business owners.
May 8, 2024 – Entrepreneurs Academy will host its annual Wealth and Wellness Festival on June 1, 2024, at Mandrake Park, 3858 S. Cottage Grove, Chicago. Sponsored by the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority and the Chicago Park District, the event will showcase local entrepreneurs and provide community resources that promote generational wealth and wellness. Last year’s event uplifted over 70 small businesses. This year’s festival promises a vibrant, inclusive atmosphere with interactive exhibits, strategic partners, and a collective focus on sustainable growth for marginalized communities.
August 25, 2023 – Entrepreneurs Academy has been awarded a renewed grant from the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority (ICJIA), reinforcing its mission to empower underserved Chicago communities. With over 1,250 businesses launched and 3,700 entrepreneurs trained, EA now expands its free programming—including drone photography, urban farming, and business development workshops—at the Harvey Public Library. The upcoming 12-week FLEET program will prepare residents to launch their own ventures with no-cost training and mentorship.
February 28, 2023 – Entrepreneurs Academy is bringing the future of technology to Chicago’s South and West Sides with a free drone photography program. This three-class series helps residents prepare for FAA licensing and launch their own commercial drone businesses. Taught by industry professionals, the program includes training on photography, marketing, portfolio creation, and real-world business application—empowering Black and Brown communities with opportunities in a $500B+ industry.
