Dee Peart

Board Treasurer

Dee Peart began her career as a medical technologist at Illinois Masonic Hospital, where she was quickly promoted to assistant supervisor. After two years in this role, she transitioned to a position as a Service and Sales Representative for Boehringer Mannheim, a medical diagnostic supplier. Dee then pursued an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago, which led her to join Motorola.

At Motorola, Dee held various roles across strategy and P&L teams, dealing with intercompany transactions, international entities, sales and marketing, service operations, multiple divisions, and human resources. Her final position at Motorola was as a Senior Operations Controller.

Dee has extensive experience in implementing accounting standards and procedures, audit processes, general ledger (GL) management, tax strategies, data analytics, cost reduction, budgeting, and financial modeling. She earned a quality Green Belt certification and passed the CPA exam. Additionally, Dee and her husband operated a home-based remanufacturing business for over a decade.

In retirement, driven by a strong passion for community impact, Dee has contributed her skills to several nonprofit organizations, including:

  • Habitat for Humanity (housing)
  • VITA (low-income tax preparation)
  • Project Renew (training for refugee women)
  • Royal Family Christian Camp (supporting foster care)
  • Willow Creek Church

Outside of her volunteer work, Dee enjoys reading, hiking, spending time with her granddaughter, and exploring new travel destinations.

She has also been a mentor for the Entrepreneur Academy since its inception and is eager to share her expertise in treasury insights with Phil and the Board in their collective efforts.
